Crown & Glory celebrates new chapter at MegaCentre
Windhoek's revamped MegaCentre in Kleine Kuppe saw hundreds of people attend the official launch of Crown & Glory Hair & Beauty Salon on 7 June, an event that celebrated beauty, confidence and the power of collaboration.
The launch brought together consumers, business partners, sponsors, pageant representatives and community leaders to witness the unveiling of the salon's vision, which focuses on the connection between inner and outer beauty. The event also highlighted the importance of partnerships and brand collaborations in building platforms that empower individuals and communities.
Crown & Glory brand ambassador Lize Ehlers said the salon represents more than beauty treatments.
"When I sit in that chair and you transform my hair, you also transform what is inside because then I can take a moment to reflect," Ehlers said.
She noted that women often balance multiple responsibilities in their daily lives and require spaces where they can recharge and focus on themselves.
"I'm not only a mother, I'm not only a wife, I'm not only an award-winning artist, but I'm also a community leader, and we have to show up."
Miss Teen Namibia and Crown & Glory youth ambassador, Chantel Boeren, praised salon owner Wilna Jones for her vision and dedication. "As a teen ambassador, it truly has been a highlight to be a part of this community and to be a part of Crown & Glory," Boeren said.
She said the salon reflects beauty, confidence and grace while creating a positive environment for patrons.
The launch programme featured performances by Alicia Dobson and Shaniqua, while Drag Night Namibia Unplugged creative director Gigi Has Arrived delivered a motivational performance for guests.
A major highlight of the event was the introduction of the Miss Teen Namibia 2026 finalists and the Miss Namibia 2026 Top 10 contestants. Their participation reflected the event's focus on confidence, leadership and beauty that extends beyond appearance.
