Doubts around Mashare agri institute's reopening

During a visit to the Mashare Agricultural Development Institute (MADI) this week, staff on the ground said no visible renovations have taken place, despite promises that student intake will begin in January 2026. They noted worsening building conditions and expressed doubt that the timeline is realistic.

This follows Kavango East governor Hamunyera Hambyuka’s state of the region address last Thursday, where he acknowledged infrastructure, staffing and equipment challenges but maintained the first intake is expected early next year.
