#JustIn: Methodists urged to refrain from anti-gay march
The Methodist Church of Southern Africa Namibia District has called on all Methodists to refrain from participating in the upcoming protest to deliver petitions for a law against same-sex marriage and related practices in Namibia.
Protestors on Friday will march from the ministry of home affairs to Zoo Park and then to Parliament.
"... any form of victimisation, hatred or violence towards homosexual people should be condemned in the strongest possible terms," Bishop Christopher Gaya said in a letter expressing the church's stance on the matter.
Gaya encouraged all Methodists to continue praying and seeking ways to "offer Christ's love rather than breaking Christ's body."
