Woman arrested for damaging windscreen

A 50-year-old Namibian woman was arrested on Friday in Rehoboth on a charge of malicious damage to property. Police say the incident occurred at around 23:00 at a house in Extension 2, Block G. Police allege that the suspect damaged the complainant’s vehicle by smashing the front windscreen with a bottle of ice, without the owner’s consent. The damage to the vehicle is estimated at N$5 000. The suspect was expected to appear before the Rehoboth Magistrate’s Court on Monday.
