SHORT NEWS - Cousin assaults relative with wooden stick in Kavango West

An attempted murder incident occurred on Sunday, 28 September at around 20:00 at Cancana village, Kavango West. According to Chief Inspector Raimbert Muronga Kahenge, the suspect allegedly assaulted his cousin with a wooden stick, striking him all over the body. The attack, which happened inside one of the cuca shops caused severe bodily injuries, including a swollen face and eyes. Both the victim and the suspect were reportedly heavily intoxicated at the time of the incident. The 30-year-old Namibian man was rushed to Nankudu district hospital before being transferred to Rundu State Hospital in an unconscious condition for further treatment.
