Namcor appoints Ndafyaalako as acting MD
The National Petroleum Corporation of Namibia (Namcor) has appointed Mtundeni Ndafyaalako as the corporation's acting managing director, effective 1 March. In a statement issued yesterday, the corporation said his appointment follows the conclusion of Maureen Hinda-Mbuende’s tenure as interim managing director on 28 February, after six months in the role. The board thanked her for her leadership and service. Ndafyaalako joined Namcor in 2018 as a geoscientist and rose through the ranks to executive of upstream development and production. With nearly 20 years of experience in the oil and gas sector, the board said his leadership will ensure continuity while recruitment for a substantive managing director continues.
