Man stabbed after stepping on woman's foot

A 33-year-old man was stabbed in Otjiwarongo after allegedly stepping on another man’s girlfriend’s foot during a social gathering last week.

According to police spokesperson, Deputy Commissioner Kauna Shikwambi, the incident occurred at around 23:00 on 30 April at the Telecom location. The suspect allegedly reacted after the victim accidentally stepped on his girlfriend’s foot, stood up from where he was seated and stabbed the victim multiple times with a knife.

The victim remains in hospital with injuries sustained in the attack, while the suspect has been arrested and is in police custody. Police investigations are ongoing.
