Loide Iipinge resigns from PDM after two decades in party politics
Former member of parliament Loide Iipinge has resigned from the Popular Democratic Movement, ending a political association of more than two decades. In a resignation letter addressed to the party’s Windhoek office, Iipinge confirmed that her departure takes effect on 5 February 2026. Iipinge joined the party in 2004 and was elected chairperson of the PDM Youth League in the Oshana Region in the same year. She later served on the party’s central committee from 2006 to 2013 and then held the position of Women’s League secretary from 2015 to 2024. Her parliamentary tenure ran from March 2024 to March 2025.
