Hundreds queue in Havana as Kaoko Fria job applications enter phase two
More than a hundred job seekers gathered at Havana informal settlement in Windhoek on Monday as the Kaoko Fria investment project opened the second phase of its job application process. Namibian Sun observed long queues forming from early morning, as applicants manually registered their details, a process that proved slow and challenging. The situation worsened further with rainfall, forcing some people to seek shelter while registration continued. The project has already rolled out applications in other regions, including Zambezi, and aims to complete the process nationwide. It remains unclear how many jobs will be available or when successful applicants will be contacted.
