Woman sets clothes, blankets alight

A mentally-ill woman allegedly locked herself and her 10-year-old daughter in a house in Okahandja on Monday afternoon and set blankets and clothes on fire. Police arrived just on time and broke the doors open.

The girl was treated at hospital and sent home, while the mother was being kept in hospital as she was deemed a danger to herself and her child.
