#JustIn: Swakop man commits suicide
A resident of Swakopmund, Nghifinwa Mwila (28), was found dead on Wednesday in the DRC informal settlement, Mondesa, after allegedly hanging himself in his rented shack.
According to inspector Ileni Shapumba, the unit commander for community affairs in the Erongo Region, Mwila's brother discovered the body around 15:30, hanging from a rope attached to the ceiling.
The police did not find any suicide note or evidence of foul play. The authorities have informed Mwila's next of kin. The police have declared the death as a suicide and will conduct an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death. The investigation is ongoing.
