StartUp Namibia breathes life into MSMEs
News in short
Industrialisation minister Lucia Iipumbu has lauded StartUp Namibia, saying it helped support the growth of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) since its establishment three years ago.
She made the remarks at a handover of equipment from GIZ, which included two Toyota Land Cruisers and a 3D printer.
“StartUp Namibia has been critical in supporting the improvement of conditions for the establishment and growth of more than a 150 MSMEs in selected regions in Namibia,” Iipumbu said.
The equipment would help government create a conducive and enabling environment for small businesses, she added.
“We extend a hand of invitation to the German government to collaborate further on developing StartUp Namibia under our ministry. Together, we will work towards realising the full potential of this donated equipment, creating a lasting impact on our enterprise development and industrialisation landscape.”
