A 28-year-old man allegedly assaulted his 64-year-old mother last Friday evening at Mpora village in the Kavango West Region.

According to the police, the man punched his mother on the left side of her jaw several times.

He has been arrested and charged with intent to cause grievous bodily harm under the Domestic Violence Act.
