Namib Mills donates chairs, tables to high school
This week, Namib Mills donated desks and chairs to Highline Secondary School as it continues its efforts to support education across the country.
According to the company, the donation aims to enhance the educational environment for learners, providing them with the necessary resources to excel in their studies and contribute to the nation's progress.
The school faces a critical shortage of education tools, with some learners forced to attend lessons while seated on the floor and using their laps as desks.
“Highline Secondary School, located in Windhoek, has long been recognised for its dedication to providing quality education to the youth of our nation. However, like many educational institutions, it faces numerous challenges in meeting the needs of its learners. The lack of adequate furniture and learning facilities has hindered the school's ability to create an optimal learning environment, impacting the educational experience of its students,” Namib Mills said in a statement.
It added: “Recognising the significance of education in shaping the future of Namibia, Namib Mills stepped forward to address this pressing issue. By donating tables and chairs, the company aims to alleviate the resource constraints faced by Highline and enable its learners to learn in a comfortable and conducive atmosphere”.
