In our edition yesterday, 10 August, an article titled ‘ECN rejects AR’s application’ should have explicitly indicated that the Affirmative Repositioning (AR) movement's application - to be registered as a political party - is still with the Electoral Commission of Namibia's (ECN) technical staff. It is, in fact, the technical staff who sent the submission back to AR, and not the commission. The application is currently being scrutinised at a technical, administrative level and only thereafter will it be submitted to the commission for consideration.
