Man rapes 7-year-old cousin

A 24-year-old man was arrested in the Onesi constituency’s Omikwiyu village this week after he allegedly raped his seven-year-old cousin.
Omusati Region police crime investigations coordinator, Deputy Commissioner Moses Simaho, confirmed the incident, and said the rape took place on an evening earlier this month, but was only recently reported to the police.
“It is alleged that the suspect - who is a cousin to the victim - had sexual intercourse with a minor girl of seven years old. The suspect and the victim reside in the same house,” he said.
The suspect has been charged and is expected to appear in the Outapi Magistrate’s Court today. Police investigations continue.
