Namibia plays hosts to international OT congress

This year, the Namibian Association for Occupational Therapists (NAOT) plays host to the 12th congress of the Occupational Therapy Africa Regional Group (OTARG). The congress starts next Monday (21 August) at the University of Namibia's (Unam) Hage Geingob campus in the capital and continues until Thursday. It takes place under the theme "Transforming Health and Well-being in Africa through Occupation" and focuses on the significant role that occupational therapy plays in improving health outcomes as well as the overall well-being of residents on the continent. Special guests include the Minister of Health and Social Services, Dr. Kalumbi Shangula, the World Health Organization (WHO) representative in Namibia as well as the president of the World Federation of Occupational Therapists.
