#JustIn: Awareness of wetlands and water resources

World Wetlands Day and World Water Day will be jointly commemorated today and Friday at Groot Aub.

The agriculture and water ministry, together with several other stakeholders, will commemorate the days jointly under the theme of “Accelerating change and restoration of wetlands and water resources through partnerships”.

According to the ministry, the two days are observed annually to raise awareness about the significance of wetlands and water resources, as well as to encourage people around the world to take action in promoting the sustainable development and utilisation of these resources.
