Youth energy forum launched
News in short
The Namibia Youth Energy Forum (NYEF) was launched over the weekend to "lead the charge towards a sustainable energy future".
Spearheaded by Fanuel Shinedima, the forum “aims to inspire, educate and provide opportunities for young people to actively participate in the energy sector, driving socioeconomic development and environmental sustainability”.
According to Shinedima, by mobilising the energy and enthusiasm of young people, NYEF “can make a significant impact on the future of Namibia's energy landscape”.
He further called on young people across the country to become active members of NYEF, while appealing for the assistance of various stakeholders in the form of funding, sponsorship, scholarships as well as sharing expertise to help the forum attain its goals.
"Together, let us ignite change, inspire innovation and pave the way for a brighter and more sustainable future for Namibia,” he said.
