MVA to pump N$2m into education

The Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA) Fund has committed to answering the education ministry’s calls for urgent assistance at certain schools.
In partnership with MTC’s rural schools project, the fund has set aside N$2 million, which will go towards schools across the country to ensure that every child in Namibia has the opportunity to be educated.
“The education sector is close to our hearts, as we understand the value of good quality education and the importance of providing the same to all children in Namibia,” MVA’s senior manager of accident and injury prevention, Ruben Uupindi, said at an inauguration of a classroom block at Oduludiya Combined School in the Ohangwena Region.
The fund sponsored the construction to the tune of N$200 000.
“This endeavour is further amplified through the annual bursaries offered to students in the medical field through the MVA Fund’s corporate social investment programmes,” he added.
