Suspects arrested after failed armed robbery

Three suspects were arrested yesterday after an attempted armed robbery at Style clothing store in Swakopmund.
The suspects were held captive in the shop until the police arrived.
According to Erongo regional inspector Ileni Shapumba, the three men - armed with gas pistols and pangas - entered the shop, closed the door behind them and threatened employees while demanding money.
The incident involved six staff members, including a manager.
In the process, one of the employees notified the police.
Police officers responded promptly and arrested all three suspects on the spot.
No injuries were sustained and nothing was stolen. Police investigations continue.
