Nored’s Nakashole arrested
News in short
Suspended Nored CEO Fillemon Nakashole was arrested in Otjiwarongo on Tuesday afternoon after alarmed motorists reported his allegedly erratic driving on the road from Otavi.
Police awaited his arrival at a checkpoint outside Otjiwarongo, but he reportedly drove through without stopping, and some officers had to run for cover. Nakashole was eventually stopped in Otjiwarongo, where he took an alcohol breathalyser test, clocking 1.03mg/l - way above the legal limit of 0.37mg/l.
He is expected to appear in the local magistrate's court today.
