#JustIn: Suspected robber had string of criminal cases
Marius Iipinge, one of the five suspected robbers killed in a shootout with the police on Tuesday, escaped from jail in Lubango, Angola, in 2015, where he allegedly robbed a bank.
He had a string of other criminal cases in Namibia, including attempted murder and robbery.
Upon returning to Namibia, he was arrested and provided a fake name to court officials, calling himself Marius Romanus.
Namibian Sun understands that the only survivor from Tuesday's fatal exchange of fire has not yet been arrested, partly because his identity has not been established.
