A 16-year-old girl of Omatako, Tsumkwe West in the Grootfontein district was allegedly repeatedly raped by her stepfather on Friday night.

He apparently forcefully grabbed her in a shebeen, where she was to buy alcohol for her aunt and dragged her into a nearby abandoned house.

According to the police report the suspect has been on the run since the incident and is yet to be arrested, while the girl was referred to a social worker for counselling.
