Fifteen caught illegally mining at Airforce Training Base
Fifteen people (five women, ten men) have been arrested after they were found to be illegally mining lithium (lepidolite) stones on Etiro East Farm at the Airforce Training base near Karibib. According to the latest crime report, the suspects allegedly on Saturday cut the farm fence to gain entry. All mined stones were recovered, with the value still to be determined. The suspects are expected to appear in court on charges of illegal mining, trespassing and malicious damage to property.
