Baby drowns in water basin

A 10-month-old baby girl drowned in a water basin at Oipandahangano village in the Outapi constituency in Omusati Region.
The incident happened on Thursday at about 18:00. The police identified the deceased as Magano Etuhole Kaumbu.
The police said Kaumbu was allegedly discovered in a water basin inside the house by her mother.
He said that the body of the deceased has been taken to the Outapi State Hospital mortuary and will be transported to the Okahao police mortuary for a postmortem.
