Brenda Ngxoli cast as music legend Brenda Fassie in new documentary series

SABC1 has confirmed Brenda Ngxoli as the lead in 'Vulindlela', a new four-part documentary series based on the life and legacy of Brenda Fassie. The award-winning actress will take on the role of the 'Weekend Special' hitmaker, telling the story of her rise to fame, personal challenges, and ultimate redemption through her iconic album 'Vulindlela'.



Ngxoli, whose career spans over two decades, is known for her versatility on both television and film. Many will remember her from 'Home Affairs', where she made her television debut in 2005, and later from hit shows such as 'Rockville' and 'The Queen', to name a few.





Her ability to embody complex characters has made her one of South Africa’s most respected performers, and fans are excited about her portrayal of Fassie.
