We knew Chiefs' strength – Shalulile
Namibia's international Peter Shalulile is riding on a wave of success following his recent goalscoring form for his club, Highlands Park.
Highlands Park leading marksman Peter Shalulile admits they did not have a lot of time to work on set-pieces prior to their Nedbank Cup encounter with Kaizer Chiefs. The Lions of the North went through to the quarter-finals of the Nedbank Cup after edging Chiefs 5-4 on penalties on Saturday evening.
Shalulile scooped the man of the match award on the day and admitted it was always going to be difficult going up against the league leaders.
“It was not an easy game against Chiefs, it's never easy, but we managed to win the game,” Shalulile told SuperSport TV.
“It was one of those games, they always want to get a goal through the set-pieces but unfortunately our defender headed the ball in the back of the net.” Shalulile scored for Highlands Park last Wednesday to end a match 2-2 against Bidvest Wits.
“We told ourselves that we know what we want from this game and we know what their strength is and we just closed their strength and countered on their weaknesses.”
