We are back – talking Africa

Last year these pages carried a number of articles and commentaries from the youth. We initially started with students from the department of political science at the University of Namibia. It is this department that introduced this initiative. Later on, it expanded to other departments in the faculty of economic and management sciences before we moved to other faculties. In some instances, we even published articles from Namibian students studying at universities outside Namibia. We have gotten feedback; many people from various walks of life are talking about The Astute Conversation. The impact is surely felt. Indeed, we have heard both negative and positive commentaries about The Astute Conversation. It is 2017 – The Astute Conversation is back. We are beginning the year with a discussion on African consciousness and African political economy. Tobias and Kalimbwe, our regular contributors take us into the conversation.
