Tough test for Civics
Civics will face Black Africa at the Sam Nujoma Stadium in Windhoek tonight in the ninth round of the Namibia Premier League.
For both teams it will be an important match to gain points which will put them apart from the other teams on the log.
Black Africa have garnered 11 points while Civics are trailing behind in seventh position with eight points.
The teams need to outsmart each other if they want to gain points. Black Africa are chasing African Stars (18 points) and Tura Magic in second place with 16 points.
It has not been an easy campaign for Civics so far, as they have lost important matches which would have helped them climb the ladder.
However, Brian Isaacs, who is one of the most decorated coaches locally, said the team did their homework after the mistakes they had made and were ready to face Black Africa today.
Isaacs, one of the most successful premier league coaches, said he wanted to steer the club in a different direction by beating all their opponents in the matches going forward.
Black Africa's new interim coach, Lucky Richter, was not available for comment. However, the former player and coach of Black Africa is a well-qualified mentor who has undergone various FIFA, CAF and Uefa coaching and football administration courses in the Netherlands, Germany and Spain and is expected to bring results for his team tonight.
