Status update
I have a question for you, exactly what is expected of us from the Namibian entertainment industry personality’s huka? I have trouble understanding some people''s expectations of these guys, so waar. Mind you, anyone can be what they want to be and so if you feel you will do a better job, why don''t you just get on the bus and thrive? I understand it''s not expected of us to sing along when say for instance, an actor or musician is known to be disrespectful, because of his status after his third NAMAs award, but if you merely have a problem with the guy, because you met him twice at gatherings and you want him to know you on your third meet by name, including what you like eating and where you''re from.
And this is where many go wrong. I will be making reference to all the doctors, lawyers and philanthropists that have graduated at the Harvard Extension University of Facebook. The know it all’s of this country. Concluding stories from two or three pictures uploaded by artists on their social media. The sad thing about these Facebook graduates is that they are very bitter people, who have nothing better to do with their boring lives or have failed so many times at trying to fit in certain groups of society and have been rejected. These are the very same people who are highly opinionated behind Mark Zuckerberg and their phone screens, but in person they are just people who need to be loved to do away with the brokenness that haunts them at night. Shame – boo.
Like I said at the beginning we are entitled to our lifestyles, careers and ways of living. You can be what you want to be, provided you make sure that you will be the best at it! Fail as much as you will, but learn. Don’t become the hater from the other side literally living in the shadows of people trying to make honest livings by bashing their images. It is not on! Hopefully next time I check your status update it won’t be a long bitter one on how people should live their lives or make their acting, photography or music better whilst yours sucks. There is a very thick line between making and breaking someone.
