Newly crowned Namibia Premier League (NPL) champions African Stars will face Eleven Arrows in the Debmarine Namibia Cup quarterfinals and remain in the hunt to secure an elusive double during the current football season.

The cup competition draw, which took place on Saturday also saw Unam FC being pitted against Blue Waters, while Civics will play Tura Magic in the last eight of the competition.

The draw however favoured Black Africa, who will be playing first division outfit Golden Bees in their quarterfinal clash.

The quarterfinals will be played on the weekend of 28 April.

Arrows reached the quarterfinals after beating Orlando Pirates 4-3 on penalties following a 2-2 draw in normal time.

Unam FC beat Chiefs Santos 4-0 to book their place in the last eight, while African Stars thrashed Dynamos 6-0.

Black Africa also needed a penalty shootout to see off resurgent second division side Khuse FC from the Oshana Region, eventually wining 2-0 on penalties after a one-all draw.

Tura Magic was one the biggest scorers of the weekend, after beating Swakopmund FC 9-1.

Civics got the better of Once Again FC with a 10-1 thumping win, while Blue Waters booked their place in the quarterfinals with a 2-1 win over Young Chiefs.

The exact dates, times and venues for the quarterfinal clashes will be determined by the Debmarine Namibia Cup organising committee in due course.
