One-button cooking with Pupkewitz and Rational
Pupkewitz Catering on Thursday announced its new partnership with German-based combi-steamer and oven manufacturer, Rational AG.
Rational AG Senior Sales Director for Africa and career chef Oliver Aimon was on hand to lead a live cooking demonstration, showcasing the company''s intelligent cooking system, the SelfCooking Centre, and its compact version, the SelfCooking Center XS.
The product is hailed across the world in large and commercial kitchens for its technology, able to independently recognise the load quantity and size of food, continuously monitoring the cooking process, and automatically adapting to relevant conditions.
“When Rational initiated the idea of combining hot air and steam in one appliance, it revolutionised kitchens,” AImon told corporate guests in attendance.
“Since then, the technology was adopted and became a standard tool in kitchens everywhere,” he said.
The latest version of the appliance advances the range''s essential considerations, namely air circulation, steam production, climate management and dehumidification - and includes features such as remote manual manipulation via smart phone.
“The SelfCooking Center allows for uniform quality cooking, every time, with the touch of a single button,” Aimon boasted.
It is also possible to stack the smaller SelfCooking Center XS on top of its larger stable-mate and control the upper unit from the bottom.
