Okahandja FC set to unveil Jacobs
Newly promoted Okahandja United FC is expected to unveil former Tigers mentor Woody Jacobs as their head coach today.
Jacobs apparently agreed to join the club, confirming speculation that he was going to coach the country's newest Namibia Premier League (NPL) team.
“Yes I can confirm that we will be unveiling the coach tomorrow here in Okahandja.
“We can give any other details or answer any other questions tomorrow at the press conference,” club owner Congo Hindjou said, who is also the mayor of the town.
Jacobs announced his resignation from Tigers with immediate on Sunday, despite having another year to go on his contract with the club.
His resignation came in a wake of speculation that he was unhappy with the way the Tigers management treated him.
Jacobs did not give any reasons why is he parting ways with the club he joined in the middle of the 2017/18 season.
The coach comes with a wealth of experience, after having mentored Orlando Pirates, Tigers, African Stars and Black Africa.
