NWR allows Black Friday booking extensions

WINDHOEK
Due to travel restrictions announced last week, Namibia Wildlife Resorts (NWR) says it will allow Black Friday booking extensions.
According to NWR, throughout the past 15 months, the company has had to find innovative ways to sustain its business.
Through various specials, such as its Black Friday promotion last November, it managed to do so, seeing a rise in domestic travel at its resorts.
However, new travel restrictions were announced on 15 June by President Hage Geingob.
This, the company said, restricted exit and entry into the Windhoek-Okahandja-Rehoboth local authority areas from 16 to 30 June and affected several NWR clients with Black Friday vouchers.
"These measures by the president are there to safeguard our nation, and as NWR, we are in full support of them. That is why, based on this, we have decided to allow our Black Friday voucher clients who made their bookings before 17 June to move their reservations until 31 August," Dr Matthias Ngwangwama, NWR managing director, said.
NWR further encouraged clients who had not redeemed their vouchers or made their bookings before the announcement of the restrictions to do so and travel before 30 June.
Otherwise, they will forfeit these vouchers as per the company’s terms and conditions.
"To ensure that this process is smooth, we would like to appeal to our clients to send their written adjustment requests to [email protected], [email protected] or [email protected], or where their original booking was created," Epson Kasuto, NWR’s chief marketing officer, said.
