Nangombe is new health permanent secretary
The Office of the Prime Minister (OPM) has appointed Benetus Nangombe as the new permanent secretary for the Ministry of Health and Social Services.
In a media statement issued on Friday, the secretary to the cabinet, George Simataa, said Nangombe's appointment comes into effect from 1 August 2018.
Nangombe is currently employed as the deputy permanent secretary for research and public liaison at Office of the President.
He replaces Andreas Mwoombola who was redeployed to the OPM in December 2017.
Nangombe takes over the position from Petronella Masabane, who acted as PS since December 2017.
She will now return to the position of deputy permanent secretary in the same ministry. Simataa said Nangombe's appointment is on a five-year contract and will run until 31 July 2023.
