With the country having received good rains for several weeks, many storage dams have received inflow, especially in the south where the three largest dams are located.
Namibia’s dams have a total storage capacity of 1543.436 million cubic metres of water. Namibia has 18 dams, of which 17 are surface dams.
According to the latest information provided by NamWater, the average dam volume was 1290.626 million cubic metres yesterday, at 82.9% of capacity.
