Namibian student dies in Kenya
A Namibian student in her
third year of medicine at the University of Maseno in Kenya died this week
after giving birth to a baby boy.
The late Jennifer Muyunda is reported to have first studied medicine in Ukraine for two years before moving to Kenya to complete her studies.
According to a family spokesperson, her son is in good health and being cared for at the hospital.
He added that according to information the family received, Muyunda died after a fatal reaction to medicine given shortly after her delivery.
He said the family awaits more details on the matter.
The family is now in the process of gathering the necessary funds to transfer Muyunda’s body back home, as well as making sure her son returns to Namibia.
