The Namibia Rugby Union (NRU) has acquired the services of Welsh Premiership boss Dale McIntosh to assist his counterpart Phil Davies with Namibia's national team.
McIntosh, is who is said to be one of the most recognisable figures in the game, will be part of Namibia's team travelling to Japan for the Rugby World Cup.
He is set to take care of Namibia's defence department with the aim of strengthening their backs going into the crucial world cup.
Namibia will face New Zealand, South Africa, Italy and Canada in the group stages.
“We have worked together before and I have a great respect for him, I like the way he coaches defence. He's got a great personality for that role,” Phil Davies told a Welsh online publication.
Davies, Proctor and McIntosh will be joined at the World Cup by performance analyst Sam Pickford, who hails from Llantwit Major and has worked for the WRU.
