My experience of studying in the ‘Mother City’

Grew up in the capital city of Namibia, Windhoek, and moving to Cape Town was one of the best decisions I ever made. I have been living in Cape Town for a while. I study architectural interior design at BHC School of Design. It offers students full-time accredited courses in interior design and interior decorating, and the school also offers a range of part-time short courses. My experience of living in Cape Town has been nothing but a beautiful experience; I wouldn’t even want to move. The city is known for its harbour, for its natural setting in the Cape Floristic Region, and for landmarks such as Table Mountain and Cape Point. There is a very vibrant ambience and the level of hospitality is impressive. I also love how diverse the city is in terms of people because I love the networking, and getting to interact with people from all over Africa and all over the world. As much as Cape Town is a beautiful city, the cost of living here is quite high but I definitely think that’s because the city is so diverse; there is so much more to do compared to what we have back home. When it comes to what I’ve learned from being a student in a foreign country.
