12 July 2019 | Sports

The MTC Africa Cup of Nations SMS competition produced another two winners yesterday, who will travel to Egypt on Monday.

The two winners, who will be accompanied by the partners of their choice, were announced by MTC executive Tim Ekandjo.

Maria Uutoni from Windhoek will be accompanied by her cousin, Lavinia, while Petrus Mwaudanawa was yet to announce who will accompany him at the time of going to print.

The selected individuals need to have valid travelling documents, in order for them to travel on Monday to watch the two Afcon semi-final matches, as well as the final.

The trip is worth N$30 000 per person and is all-inclusive, plus allowances.

Mwaudanawa said he supports Algeria and Nigeria and is putting his money on the Algerians to take the Afcon crown.

Participants had to SMS the word 'AFCON' to 999 to receive a question. Thereafter, they received a question from the short code 1999. SMSes were charged at N$3 each.
