Lukas to don Roomaif
Namibian boxer Sakaria 'Desert Storm' Lukas will receive full sports gear from Roomaif ahead of his clash against American boxer, Jesse Magdaleno.
The fight will take place in Madison Square Garden, New York, on 14 March, with both Lukas and Magdaleno being sponsored by the brand.
Sakaria will receive training gear which includes boxing gloves, punching bags, training pads, sparring gloves and skipping ropes, according to his trainer and promoter from AC Boxing Entertainment, Immanuel Moses.
Roomaif offers a wide range of sports products including boxing, martial arts, fitness and MMA equipment, footwear, apparel and gloves.
“We will be receiving everything, which is a boost for the boxer. This equipment is quite expensive and because of that, we are grateful to our partner Scot for having pushed Roomaif to come on board,” said Moses.
According to a statement from AC Boxing Entertainment, Roomaif has existed since 1990, bringing the finest of German authenticity and quality into the sports and apparel universe.
The unbeaten 35-year-old Namibian featherweight boxer Lukas sports a nine-year career with a record of 23 fights with 16 knockouts. He fought Malawian boxer Raston Kayira, who he knocked out, last December.
His opponent Magdaleno, who is seven years his junior, has a record of 27 wins, 18 knockouts and one loss from his 28 career bouts. He is the current world number three in the featherweight division and a former world champion. He last fought and won against Mexican Raphael Riviera last August.
