Lithon lives its vision

Lithon Project Consultants (Pty) Ltd is a multidisciplinary consulting engineering firm that provides specialised project management, consulting engineering and mining consultancy services to their clients.
Lithon’s employees are a dynamic, energetic and flexible team of qualified and experienced people, who enable the company to match its services closely to the needs of each of its clients.
Lithon has three offices in Namibia - in Swakopmund, Ongwediva and in Windhoek. They also have a branch in Edenvale, South Africa and recently opened an office in Accra, Ghana.
“Lithon is a company with a clear vision - or let me rather use the word calling - that was and is continuously being inspired by God. Simply put it is to make a difference in the world through our God-given skills as engineers,” says Adriaan Grobler, executive chairman and founder of Lithon.
Lithon’s core values are based on the word of God. The company name is an acronym for Love, Integrity, Trust, Honesty, Obedience and Nobility.
Lithon strives to provide all their employees with a fulfilling work experience and an opportunity to grow and flourish in the industry.
“We believe that our biggest asset is our people and our strength is teamwork, as we are guided by our unifying corporate principles of integrity, honesty, professionalism, excellence and friendliness,” says Grobler.
Over the years, Lithon has grown from strength to strength.
Every year brings more likeminded and equally driven people to the company. Lithon has a very clear purpose: to make a significant impact in the lives of people.
Their long-term strategy and dream is to have a global presence by partnering with likeminded and like-hearted individuals that share their vision.
The team
Lithon has a diverse and dynamic team of engineers working across its offices in engineering disciplines ranging from civil, structural, water, agriculture, transport, mining, mechanical, electrical and industrial engineering. The team currently consists of more than 50 people.
Lithon is committed to empowerment equity and takes a number of Namibian engineering students under its wing every year. Some of these students continue in permanent employment at Lithon after their graduation. The team at Lithon strongly believe they are called to make a significant impact in the lives of their communities. This is one of the ways the team is living out this mission.
Corporate social responsibility
Lithon formalised their corporate social responsibility in October 2014, by establishing the Lithon Foundation as a section 21 company. The vision of the foundation is to “bring God’s love and hope to people and communities”. The Lithon Foundation slogan is: Love. Give. Guide
• Love, means mentorship to accept, inspire and guide talented and driven young people with the potential to excel.
• Give, implies finding different types of resources in order to meet the needs of the community.
• Guide, implies guiding organisations already making a difference in lives of people and communities, to make a significant impact.
Lithon believes that it can make an impact together, one project or person at a time. Why do Lithon believe this? Because it is already being done in all towns of Namibia by ordinary people, who care enough to take action. These people and organisations however, need support.
