Keeping it real
The pandemic has compelled a lot of creatives in the art and entertainment space to come up with new concepts and fresh ideas in order to continue performing their art. As much as thinking out of the box is the one positive thing brought about by the pandemic, it has also put a lot of pressure on creatives.
In this piece I just want to inform fellow creatives that it is okay to fall out of love with your craft; go get re -inspired and fall back in love with it. A lot of creatives want to be relevant and understandably so, but concepts are starting to be recycled and it’s not fun anymore. Also, let’s not chase money so much; rather let’s endeavour to look at the meaning of ‘broke’ differently. Lack of fulfilment is worse than a lack of money, so take time to create amazing art because the fulfilment that comes with that is priceless.
