The Brave Warriors have qualified for the 2020 Chan finals, courtesy of two goals scored by Mighty Gunners player Elmo Kambindu.

The Warriors overturned a deficit from last month's first leg, which Madagascar won 1-0.

The brace from Kambindu secured a 2-1 aggregate win and ensured that the Warriors will play in next year's Chan finals in Cameroon between January and February.

Kambindu scored the opening goal in the 11th minute, after heading the ball in the net from a brilliant corner-kick from Absalom Iimbondi.

The Namibians had more chances to score in the first half, but went into halftime leading 1-0.

In the second half Kambindu, who was full of confidence, again found the net in the 50th minute.

It looked like the visitors would snatch a goal back in the dying minutes, but the Namibians held on to send their opponents packing.

There were great individual efforts from the likes of Dynamo Fredericks, Marcel Papama and the ever-green Iimbondi. Goalkeeper Edward Maova also oozed confidence and led the defence with distinction.

Warriors interim coach Bobby Samaria said it was Kambindu's day and also applauded the previous management for the foundation put in place for the team.

This will be Namibia's second time playing at the Chan finals. Next year's tourney will be the sixth edition, which exclusively features players from domestic leagues.

The competition will feature 16 teams, including Cameroon, who qualified automatically as hosts after Ethiopia announced they will not be able to host the tournament.
