Ivan Pitt hangs himself

Earlier this morning, Erongo at the coast confirmed that Ivan Pitt's body was found following an apparent suicide.
According to Erongo reporter Adolf Kaure, indications are that Pitt (29) committed suicide by hanging himself in the garage of the house where Lindie Prinsloo’s (39) body was discovered with her throat slit at No 15 Harder street in Vineta. They had lived there together.
Pitt, who would have turned 30 in December, went missing after the discovery of the body of Lindie Prinsloo with whom he was in a relationship. He drove away from the scene of the crime, some time on Friday last week, in a white Kia hatchback which belonged to Prinsloo.
A manhunt was launched after Prinsloo was found dead in the house with her throat slit. The couple was said to have had a tumultuous relationship and Pitt was out on bail following an assault charge Prinsloo had made against him. The police also confirmed that he had in fact, threatened once to kill Prinsloo.
Unconfirmed reports say the body had to have been hanging in the garage for more than a day.
