Huge inflow into southern dams
The levels of the Neckartal, Hardap and Naute dams in the South rose significantly after two days of good rains this week.

Following the good rains of the past few days, three of Namibia's largest storage dams have received the first inflow of the rainy season.
According to an update by NamWater yesterday, the Neckartal, Hardap and Naute dams recorded an accumulative inflow of more than 45.2 million cubic metres of water.
The level of the Neckartal Dam rose from 9.7% to 11.4% after it received an inflow of 14.55 million cubic metres.
The Hardap Dam received 27. 014 million cubic metres of water. Its level increased from 25.4% to 34.6%. Last season the dam was 7.7% full. The level of the Naute Dam increased from 67.6% to 72.1% after receiving an inflow of 3.718 million cubic metres. Last season it was 70.6% full.
On Monday the average dam level in the South was 18.8%, compared to last season's 5.6%. With the latest recorded inflow, the average level will have changed.
In the central area, the average dam level stands at 55.9%, compared to last season's 17.5%.
The average level of the dams in the Gobabis area stands at 39.6%, compared to last season's 13%.
In the north, the Olushandja Dam is 16.1% full in comparison to last season when the level was 23.9%.
The Omaruru Delta Dam in the Erongo Region and the Omatjenne Dam in the Otjozondjupa Region are both empty, the same as last season.
