Police in the Omusati Region have asked the public to help identify a deaf-mute man who was found wandering around Okapika village near Ruacana.
The unidentified man, who is believed to be in his mid-twenties, was found by police officers patrolling the area on 30 June and has been kept at the Ruacana police station since then.
According to the Omusati police spokesperson, Warrant Officer Linekela Shikongo, the man cannot speak or write to identify himself or indicate where he came from.
Shikongo called on anybody who can help to contact the nearest police station or call him at 081 742 7020, or Warrant Officer Kunga at 081 288 3506.
