Helao Nafidi Business Expo 2013 kicks off

The ninth edition of the Helao Nafidi Business Expo started on Monday. Selma Shekuza, the organiser of the event, who doubles as the town’s acting local economic and development officer, said about 100 Namibian exhibitors registered for the expo in the northern border town of Helao Nafidi in the Ohangwena Region this year. Only 97 of these exhibitors have set up their stands thus far, but the rest were anticipated to show up later. According to Shekuza, 58 of the exhibitors trade in food and beverages and they were allocated stands in the open space of the expo venue. The rest of the exhibitors are corporate companies or public and private institutions accommodated in a half-indoor space. The 2013 Helao Nafidi Business Expo is taking place at its usual venue, the Helao Nafidi Recreation Park, which is situated five kilometres from the Oshikango border post. The seven-day 2013 Helao Nafidi Business Expo runs until Sunday, and is anticipated to attract visitors from various regions of Namibia. ONGWEDIVA NAMPA
