Geingob to open Zim trade fair
President Hage Geingob will undertake a two-day state visit to Zimbabwe from Wednesday this week, where he is expected to among others officiate at the official opening of the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF) in Bulawayo on Friday. According to the presidency, Geingob will also address Zimbabwean businesspeople in Harare. He will also be part of the Namibia-Zimbabwe Joint Permanent Commission of Cooperation diplomatic talks. “The visit is expected to be an opportunity for further strengthening existing relations between Namibia and Zimbabwe and to consider new possible areas of cooperation,” said presidency spokesperson Albertus Aochamub. First Lady Monica Geingos, ministers of international relations, trade, works, gender, businesspeople and senior government officials will accompany the president.
